During the 11th edition of the Altitude Harvest Festival in Santa Catarina, the Quinta da Neve Winery in São Joaquim is hosting a series of gastronomic events with chefs Victor and Vinícius Branco from Osteria Taipa. The agenda, running from February 28 to March 29, includes harmonized lunches, traditional barbecue, sunset gatherings with snacks, pizzas, wines, picnic baskets in the vineyard, and menus created in collaboration with renowned guest chefs. Notable chefs like Giovanna Grossi (Animus, SP) and Elisa Fernandes (former chef of Clos Wine Bar, SP) will be responsible for the lunch on March 8, and Rafael Gomes (Tiara, RJ) will join on March 22, all cooking alongside the Branco brothers from Osteria Taipa in Lages.
The lunches are five-course affairs featuring appetizers, first and second courses, cheeses, sweets, and a dessert, with the option to include wines from Quinta da Neve (R$ 290) or just the menu (R$ 190). Picnic baskets come with items like fresh pastrami, Iberian ham, serrano and parmesan cheeses, pickles, jams, caponata, focaccia, and a bottle of wine (R$ 260). Cheese and cold cuts platters are offered at R$ 140 and R$ 160 respectively, and individual pizzas are available for R$ 69 during the afternoon “sunset” period. The experiences highlight ingredients from the Serra Catarinense region, such as fresh meat, porcini mushrooms, feijoa, local cheeses, and pine nuts, adhering to the Italo-Catarinense culinary philosophy of the Branco brothers.
Victor and Vinicius Branco lead the special lunch series at Quinta da Neve, marking another highlight of the 11th Altitude Harvest Festival in Santa Catarina, which spans from March 1 to May 4, 2025. This event engages local producers and visitors in grape harvest celebrations, featuring tours of vineyards, tastings, grape stomping, cultural presentations, and other activities that emphasize enotourism and regional identity.
The Altitude Harvest Festival also features another significant event: the Wine & Art Altitude Festival at the Pavilion of Apples and Wine in São Joaquim. This festival offers a fusion of wine, music, gastronomy, and art, with tastings of award-winning labels, live musical performances, and artistic exhibitions.
